THEDATE The renowned L.A.-based companies Ate9, BODYTRAFFIC and L.A. Dance
Project (led by Benjamin Millepied) will all come together to perform at the
Hollywood Bowl on Sept. 8 in a program titled L.A. Dances. Accompanied
by the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the music featured will also be by L.A.-
based composers in honor of the West Coast city’s vibrant arts scene.

Commercial powerhouse China Taylor
is everywhere these days. She booked her
first tour (for Lady Gaga, no less) at the age
of 17, and since then, the gigs have been
rolling in: She’s danced on tour with Chris
Brown and Trey Songz, in music videos
for Britney Spears, Beyoncé and Zendaya,
and on TV shows including “Glee,” “Mad
Men” and “The X Factor.” Raised in
Altamonte Springs, FL, Taylor grew up
dancing with the Duvall Dance Academy
Company team. She was most recently
seen on tour with Janet Jackson. Want to
